2017 Exporter Merit Award

COMCE Noroeste delivers the 2017 Exporter Merit Award and recognizes the trajectory of Enrique Zambrano Benítez, President and CEO of Proeza.

For its achievements in international markets, four manufacturing companies, two service companies and the Secretary of Economy and Labor of Nuevo León received the 2017 “Rodolfo González Garza” Merit Award from the Mexican Council of Foreign Trade of the Northeast.

In addition, Enrique Zambrano Benítez, President and CEO of Proeza, was distinguished as the Outstanding Person in Foreign Trade, for his leadership at the head of the Proeza Group, a company with a strong presence in the Americas, Asia and Europe.

These awards were presented during the Ordinary Annual Assembly of the Northeast Comte, held on Monday night at the Industrial Club, before about 400 entrepreneurs who attended the event.

Zambrano thanked for the award he was given and pointed out that Mexican companies are as productive and successful as any other country.

Grupo Proeza began operations in 1956 with the company Manufacturas Metálicas Monterrey, which later became the Metalsa company, manufacturing metal items for construction.

Currently, Proeza has five business units that are Metalsa, Citrofrut, Zánitas, Astrum and Areya.

Fruit Processing Company Valle del Pilón, from the municipality of General Terán, received the Export Merit Award in the Small Business category.

This company increased its exports from seven million dollars in 2013 to 9 million dollars in 2016, conquering the markets of the United States, Canada, Australia, Israel, South Korea and Japan.

In the category of Medium Enterprise, the Export Merit Award was for the company Industria en Servicios Plásticos Manufacturada, Isgo Manufacturing, which exported 7 million dollars in 2016, representing 50 percent of its total sales.

The company Sistemas Automotrices de México, Sisamex, received the Award in the Large Export Company category, for its exports that reached 230 million dollars in 2016.

In the Global Company category, Xignux won the Export Merit Award for exporting more of its sales to 40 countries around the world.

In the category of Foreign Trade Services Company, the Prodensa Group received this Award, while in the category of Logistics Services Company, the Dicex company was awarded.
